Finding the right pathway
There are loads of training options that can get you nationally-accredited qualifications and skills to set you up for a great career. The tricky part can be finding the right one!
The Skills Hub can help you uncover options like:
- Studying VET at school
- Doing an apprenticeship or traineeship
- Undertaking a VET course with a training provider
- Doing a low-fee short course
- Other vocational education pathways
You can access all the information you need through the Discover section of the Skills Hub, or don't forget that there's people at the end of the phone and email ready to help guide you on the right path.
Depending on which course you study and if you meet the relevant criteria, you may be eligible for subsidised training
If your training is subsidised, the South Australian Government pays part of your course fees for you. The money goes straight to your training provider, so you can focus on your training.
When you search for a course using our Course Search tool, it will tell you if the course you're interested in is subsidised or not.
If you are a migrant to South Australia and you have skills that are in demand, you may have access to government subsidised training.
Training providers will confirm whether or not you can access subsidised training, but we've put together an eligibility checker to give you an idea of what to expect.
